Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations to address homelessness. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. The purpose of funding is to educate and assist professionals who work with people who are at risk for, or are experiencing, homelessness. The training and technical assistance (TTA) will specifically address education for practitioners on addressing the needs of individuals who experience homelessness and have serious mental illness (SMI), serious emotional disturbance (SED), substance use disorders (SUD), and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders (COD).

It is expected that the recipient will promote the use of evidence-based practices, facilitate the identification of model programs, develop and update materials, and ensure that high-quality training is delivered. The recipient will be expected to train on a broad array of housing options including community-based group homes, supported apartments, alternative approaches such as communities developed to directly serve the needs of those who have experienced chronic homelessness or unstable housing along with SMI, SED, SUD or COD, Medicaid and financing, engagement in treatment, assertive community treatment, assisted outpatient treatment, family support services, and recovery support services inclusive of peer supports and community-based resources such as clubhouses.
